Every child is known

At Riverwood Public School, every child is recognised as an individual. Our teachers build strong relationships with every student, taking the time to understand their strengths, interests and learning needs so they can tailor teaching and support to help them thrive.

Every child can succeed

Our teachers combine high expectations with explicit, evidence-informed teaching to build strong foundations in literacy and numeracy. Regular assessment identifies each student's next learning steps, ensuring teaching is responsive to individual learning needs and every child can achieve their personal best.

Everyone belongs

Our students come from many different cultural and language backgrounds, creating a rich learning environment where different perspectives are valued. As they learn together, students develop respect, understanding and a strong sense of belonging.

"We are so grateful to be part of the Riverwood community. My children started in preschool at RPS before starting Kindergarten. The school has amazing intervention to help each child with their learning. The teachers are always available to answer questions, always ensuring the child continues to grow in their learning.” — a parent of Riverwood Public School
