At Riverwood Public School, learning extends beyond the classroom. We offer a wide range of opportunities for students to discover new interests, develop their strengths, build confidence and connect with others.

Join a club
Students can explore their interests, learn new skills and build friendships through a range of lunchtime activities. Our clubs include:
- Sport - run club and battle of the houses competitions
- Games - chess and LEGO clubs
- Craft - origami and crochet clubs
- Creative arts - choir, dance and ukelele
Represent our school
Students have opportunities to represent Riverwood Public School through academic competitions, sport, leadership and the creative arts. Through these experiences, students challenge themselves, learn new skills, and develop confidence, leaership and teamwork. These opportunities include:
- Academic - debating, spelling and public speaking
- Sport - zone carnivals and inter-school gala days
- Leadership - Elevate Leadership Conference and participation in community events
- Creative arts - choir performances, dance festivals, slam poetry events and art competitions
Outside the classroom
Excursions and incursions provide students with authentic, hands-on experiences that bring classroom learning to life. Students may participate in:
