Stories and highlights
Every day brings new opportunities for our students to learn, achieve and grow. From outstanding teaching to community partnerships, these stories highlight what makes Riverwood Public School unique.
Sharing our teaching expertise with others
Schools and educational organisations from across Australia regularly visit Riverwood Public School to learn about the evidence-informed teaching practices that help our students achieve strong growth.
Community events that bring us together
Our active P&C works closely with the school to enrich student life through lunch order days, Friday Funsies and special events, such as discos, Mother's and Father's Day stalls and end-of-year fun days.
A smooth transition to Kindergarten
Our eight-week transition to school program, Riverwood Ready, starts in October. This helps students become familiar with their new school, teachers and classmates before starting Kindergarten the next year.
Celebrating our diverse community
Students from many cultural and language backgrounds learn together at Riverwood Public School. Throughout the year, cultural celebrations, such as Harmony Day and NAIDOC Week, help students build understanding, respect and a sense of belonging.
"The teachers and staff at Riverwood Public School are amazing! Every teacher knows every student by name and they work as a team to set the same behaviour expectations school wide. They teach manners and respect at Riverwood by living the example every day for students to emulate.” — a parent of Riverwood Public School
